We are seeking an exceptional Director of Private Residence to oversee the full operational management of a prestigious private estate. This is a hands-on, live-in role requiring 24/7 ownership of the residence and its day-to-day operations.

The successful candidate will be 5-star trained, with a background in ultra-luxury hospitality, ideally from a leading luxury boutique hotel or Relais & Châteaux-level property. They will bring uncompromising five-star standards, ensuring the residence is maintained and operated as a world-class private home at all times.

The Director of Private Residence will ensure the estate is permanently guest-ready, delivering seamless, discreet, and highly refined service standards across all areas of operation. This is a role for a low-ego, highly capable individual who is equally comfortable leading teams, managing projects, and working in a fully hands-on capacity. The ability to wear multiple hats and take full ownership is essential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Five-Star Private Residence Management
    • Full operational responsibility for the residence and associated estate buildings
    • Maintain the property to impeccable five-star luxury standards at all times
    • Ensure all interiors, grounds, and guest areas reflect world-class presentation
    • Oversee preventative and reactive maintenance with exceptional attention to detail
    • Manage contractors, suppliers, and specialist service providers to ultra-luxury standards
    • Ensure the residence is always guest-ready, without exception
  • Ultra-Luxury Guest Experience
    • Deliver a discreet, intuitive, five-star hospitality experience for principal family and VIP guests
    • Anticipate needs and ensure seamless day-to-day living and hosting
    • Coordinate arrivals, departures, and private events to exacting standards
    • Maintain and uphold luxury service protocols and operational SOPs
  • Staff Leadership & Household Operations
    • Recruit, train, and manage household staff to five-star hospitality standards
    • Instil a culture of excellence, discretion, and professionalism
    • Oversee rotas, performance management, and day-to-day operations
    • Lead from the front in a hands-on, service-led capacity
  • Projects, Fit-Outs & Estate Enhancements
    • Manage refurbishments, fit-outs, and seasonal updates to luxury standards
    • Oversee contractors and ensure delivery aligns with five-star expectations
    • Maintain consistency in design, finish, and operational functionality
  • Operational Oversight
    • Act as primary liaison with the Chief of Staff and Family Office
    • Provide clear and structured operational reporting
    • Manage budgets with a focus on excellence and efficiency
    • Oversee procurement of luxury goods, services, and household inventory
    • Manage key vendor relationships and estate service partners
    • Coordinate closely with security and wider estate functions
