We are seeking a qualified accountant (CA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) to join a growing family investment company with a diverse portfolio across the UK and overseas. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded finance professional to play a key role in supporting and shaping the future of a dynamic business.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and reconcile financial records across five Xero entities
- Liaise regularly with accounting and management teams within investee companies
- Develop, manage, and continuously update a detailed cash flow model, including weekly reforecasting based on actual performance
- Prepare and coordinate weekly supplier payment runs for approval
- Respond to ad hoc information requests from the Chief Operating Officer and Chairman
- Prepare and submit VAT returns
- Oversee payroll processes
- Support the Chief Operating Officer with a range of commercial and operational tasks (e.g. insurance renewals)
- Maintain project-level budgets, track actuals vs. forecasts, and liaise with project managers and quantity surveyors
- Issue periodic invoices to tenants and associated companies
- Assist with basic HR administration, including contract documentation and holiday tracking
About you
- Fully qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, CA, or equivalent) with at least 3 years’ post-qualification experience
- Experience in the food & beverage and/or property sectors is advantageous
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with excellent attention to detail
- A confident communicator, able to present financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders
