Join Eden McCallum’s consulting projects on a freelance basis, and find the best of both worlds. Consultants working with Eden McCallum have all trained and developed with the leading global and boutique strategy and transformation houses. Consultants choose the projects they do, and deliver high-impact, rewarding work for major clients with teams of high calibre colleagues. A number of consultants focus on particular sectors, interests or geographies while others are generalists who work more broadly. Some work full time on client engagements while others choose to leave long gaps between projects or to work part time.

What does 'joining' Eden McCallum mean? Those selected to join our network are then considered for projects for which they have the right expertise and knowledge. For each project, we select the most qualified consultants and discuss the scope with them. Those consultants are then free to opt in or out. We then carefully curate the team so that it will work successfully together and exceed our clients' expectations.

We serve clients on issues ranging from strategy to transformation. Our in-house Partners shape and oversee each assignment, drawing on the firm's more than two decades of experience. Our structure gives us the freedom to meet client needs in a bespoke way: many of our project teams look much like those in traditional firms, and others take different shapes and sizes, including individual consultants embedded deeply in the client organisation.

Our projects are supported by the outstanding analysts we recruit, train and develop in-house, ensuring rigorous analytics and the right leverage for our more experienced consultants. And because our independent consultants are freed from the consulting firm's in-house ladder, they can focus on doing great work, rather than selling the next project.

If you would like to consider freelance consulting with Eden McCallum, as a career move or for a limited period, and meet the role requirements outlined below, we would be delighted to hear from you.

Role requirements:

We work with selected, high-calibre independent consultants who worked successfully within the leading global and boutique strategic consulting firms delivering strategy and transformation projects, like McKinsey, Bain and BCG. Consultants may join us at any level, all the way up to senior Partner; our most junior joiners will have had at least 2 consecutive years' experience within their consulting firms and will be able to demonstrate promotion within the firm. Most of our joiners left their traditional consulting firms within the last 5 years, but this can vary, especially at more senior levels. We work across all sectors and strategy/transformation disciplines, and we welcome both generalists and specialists.

The majority of our work is delivered for clients in the UK, Benelux and DACH, although we serve clients globally. We will prioritise applicants who are based in our core geographies and/or prepared to work in them for long periods. Working permissions for the UK or the EU are essential, as are fluent English or Dutch.

If you meet the requirements mentioned above and have trained for at least 2 years with one of the following firms: McKinsey, Bain, BCG, Roland Berger, OC&C, Strategy&, Kearney, Oliver Wyman, SparkOptimus, LEK, Arthur D. Little, Alvarez & Marsal, AlixPartners, you are welcome to apply here.
