Duties
- Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently using the till system.
- Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers warmly and assisting them with their inquiries.
- Engage in upselling techniques to enhance the customer shopping experience and increase sales.
- Maintain an organised and tidy checkout area, ensuring all merchandise is displayed attractively.
- Handle returns and exchanges in accordance with company policies.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth store operations and effective merchandising strategies.
- Manage time effectively to ensure all tasks are completed within designated shifts.
- Demonstrate excellent phone etiquette when answering customer calls or inquiries.
Requirements
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, in English; proficiency in Spanish is a plus.
- Basic math skills for handling transactions accurately.
- Proven organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Experience in merchandising is advantageous but not essential.
- Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude.
- Time management skills to ensure timely completion of duties throughout shifts.
- A friendly disposition with a passion for providing excellent customer service.
- Previous experience in a cashier or sales role is preferred but not mandatory.
