Assistant Underwriter – Marine & Cargo Manchester Negotiable Salary + Excellent Benefits We are currently recruiting for an Assistant Underwriter on behalf of our client, a well-known Lloyd\’s and London Market insurer with a strong international reputation. The successful candidate will support the Marine team in administering and underwriting the UK Regional Marine portfolio. Key Responsibilities Assisting UK Regional Underwriters in the underwriting of the UK Regional Marine portfolio. General administration of the UK Regional Marine account, ensuring all systems are kept up to date. Maintaining and developing broker and client relationships. Assisting Underwriters in the production of periodic underwriting reports, and any other reports as needed. Liaising with other Underwriting departments, as well as Actuarial, Claims, Compliance and Accounting. Liaising with other branches regarding common underwriting issues. Key Requirements Marine / Cargo / Specialty Lines underwriting experience is desirable but not essential. Strong administration skills and attention to detail are key for the role.
