Join us as a Sous Chef and play a key role in our senior kitchen brigade, supervising the kitchen, organising the workload, delegating to junior chefs, supporting menu design and deputising in the Head Chef's absence.
Responsibilities
- Supervise the kitchen and organise workload.
- Delegate tasks to junior chefs.
- Demonstrate innovation and support menu design.
- Deputise for Head Chef when absent.
- Proactively develop self and brigade members.
- Motivate and promote positive behaviour across the brigade.
Qualifications
- Credible experience within a professional food environment; professional cookery qualification Level 3-4 or proven experience.
- Passion for food and ethically sourced produce with pride in delivery to plate.
- Ability to lead a section and chefs, ensuring food prepared and ready for service.
- Excellent knifeâhandling skills, timeâkeeping, organisational skills and ability to work under pressure as an excellent team player.
