Join us as a Sous Chef and play a key role in our senior kitchen brigade, supervising the kitchen, organising the workload, delegating to junior chefs, supporting menu design and deputising in the Head Chef's absence.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise the kitchen and organise workload.
  • Delegate tasks to junior chefs.
  • Demonstrate innovation and support menu design.
  • Deputise for Head Chef when absent.
  • Proactively develop self and brigade members.
  • Motivate and promote positive behaviour across the brigade.

Qualifications

  • Credible experience within a professional food environment; professional cookery qualification Level 3-4 or proven experience.
  • Passion for food and ethically sourced produce with pride in delivery to plate.
  • Ability to lead a section and chefs, ensuring food prepared and ready for service.
  • Excellent knife‐handling skills, time‐keeping, organisational skills and ability to work under pressure as an excellent team player.
