What you’ll be doing

As Head Pastry Chef, you’ll take the lead in crafting and delivering an exceptional pastry offering across lunch, afternoon tea, and dinner. You’ll set the tone for creativity and innovation in the kitchen, designing menus that excite, inspire, and showcase current food trends. Leading your pastry team, you’ll mentor and develop talent, ensuring consistency, excellence, and a truly memorable guest experience.

What you’ll need

The successful candidate for Head Pastry Chef will be a highly skilled and passionate professional, with the drive to push boundaries and set new standards in pastry and dessert creation.

  • Significant experience in a professional pastry kitchen at senior or leadership level

  • A recognised Professional Cookery qualification to Level 3–4 (or proven equivalent experience)

  • A creative flair and true passion for producing show-stopping desserts, cakes, and pastries

  • Strong organisational and planning skills, with the ability to manage multiple demands in a fast-paced environment

  • Inspirational leadership qualities, with the ability to train, support, and motivate a team

  • A collaborative approach, working closely with fellow chefs and front of house teams to deliver an outstanding dining experience
