As Pastry Sous Chef, you will be responsible for producing lunch, afternoon tea and dinner pastry and dessert offerings, demonstrating innovation and responding to current food trends. You will be professional, knowledgeable and dedicated to creating amazing desserts and an engaging afternoon tea experience.
Responsibilities
- Produce high‑quality pastry and dessert items for lunch, afternoon tea and dinner menus.
- Develop and innovate new dessert concepts that align with current food trends.
- Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of food safety, hygiene and food‑trend practices.
- Ensure accurate portioning, plating and presentation standards are met.
- Assist in menu planning and collaborate with the kitchen team.
Qualifications
- Professional Cookery qualification to Level 3‑4 or equivalent proven experience in a professional kitchen.
- Creative flair and passion for producing imaginative cakes, pastries and desserts.
- Excellent time‑keeping, organisational skills and ability to plan ahead.
- Capacity to work under pressure and as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills and commitment to high standards.
Employment Details
- Minimum full‑time contract of 45 hours per week with flexibility for part‑time arrangements. Hours beyond the contracted schedule will be paid or provided as lieu time.
