We are Eden Futures, and we deliver exceptional support services for people aged 18 and over who have learning disabilities, autism, mental ill health, and associated complex needs. We are recruiting Support Workers to join our team across supported living services, supporting individuals in their own homes and out in the community, helping them to live as independently as possible.

Roles are paid at an hourly rate of £12.21, which equates to an annual salary of approximately £26,652.72 based on a 42-hour working week. The annual salary shown is for illustration purposes only. The National Living Wage applies and will be pro-rata based on hours worked. This is a full-time contracted position. We offer flexibility regarding working hours and shifts to accommodate your existing commitments.

Successful candidates will be required to have an Enhanced DBS check before starting employment. When you join Eden Futures, you will be paid for completing a comprehensive induction program involving face-to-face training, e-learning, and shadowing experienced team members. For those new to care, we will support you to complete your Care Certificate and gain a nationally recognized Level 2 qualification in Health and Social Care or a relevant field, partnering with our provider, Lifetime Training.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Support service users to lead full and active lives in line with their wishes and individual support plans, participating in plan development where applicable.
  • Support individuals to stay safe, taking appropriate actions to safeguard their welfare and protect from abuse.
  • Provide emotional support with a person-centered approach.
  • Assist service users in participating in social activities, managing finances and medication responsibly, helping with practical tasks around the home, and supporting personal care, hygiene, and healthcare needs.
  • Act as an informal point of contact for service users' support circles, including families and social workers.
  • Accurately report and record issues related to care and support to monitor health and wellbeing.
  • Comply with health and safety regulations and consider the health, safety, and welfare of others.
