- Support service users to lead a full and active life in line with their wishes and choices, considering assessed needs and support plans.
- Ensure the safety of individuals, safeguarding their welfare and protecting them from abuse.
- Provide emotional support when needed, maintaining a person‑centred approach.
- Help service users participate in chosen social activities, manage finances and medication, perform practical tasks around the home, and support personal care, hygiene and healthcare.
- Act as an informal point of contact for service users' families and social workers.
- Accurately report and record issues related to the care and support of service users to monitor health and wellbeing.
- Comply with health and safety regulations and consider the health, safety and welfare of others.
