Main Responsibilities

  • Support service users to lead a full and active life in line with their wishes and choices, considering assessed needs and individual support and care plans
  • Safeguard service users, take action to protect welfare and guard against abuse
  • Provide emotional support, maintaining a person‑centred approach
  • Support participation in chosen social activities, manage finances and medication, help with practical tasks at home, and support personal care, hygiene and health care
  • Act as informal point of contact for family and social workers within the service users circle of support
  • Accurately record and report any issues related to care and support to monitor health and wellbeing
  • Comply with Health and Safety regulations and consider health, safety and welfare of others
  • Form appropriate relationships with those we care for, maintain professional boundaries in work
  • Work within organisational policies, procedures and guidance
  • Demonstrate the organisation values and behaviours in work
