Eden Fabrications is seeking a Yard Operative / Forklift Driver to support operations within the Rebar Division in Garvagh. The role involves the safe movement, storage, loading and unloading of steel materials, supporting both yard and factory operations in a busy production environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts safely to load, unload and move steel and construction materials.
- Supply factory operatives with steel and remove completed materials to the yard.
- Ensure all steel is correctly scanned, labelled, tagged and stored.
- Load and tip trucks, completing loading dockets and checking cast numbers.
- Receive deliveries and store materials in a neat and organised manner.
- Carry out stock checks and report yard stock levels to the office.
- Assist with factory duties when required, including cutting and bending steel.
- Maintain cleanliness of the yard, factory bays and welfare areas.
- Complete daily forklift checks and monthly health and safety checks.
- Open and close the yard and factory, ensuring all equipment and doors are secured.
Key Requirements
- Experience in a yard, warehouse, steel or construction environment.
- Valid Counterbalance Forklift Licence (essential).
- Good understanding of health and safety procedures.
- Reliable, organised and able to work with minimal supervision.
- Comfortable with manual handling and outdoor work.
