Eden Brown is delighted to be supporting a leading international consultancy in the appointment of an Associate Director - Programme Management to join a nationally significant life sciences and infrastructure programme for a major public sector client. This is a rare opportunity to play a key leadership role in the delivery of a complex, long-term capital investment programme involving the modernisation and development of specialist scientific and research facilities within a highly regulated environment. The programme includes major infrastructure upgrades, new-build facilities, and estate transformation projects that will support critical national capabilities for years to come.

As Associate Director, you will provide programme and project leadership across a portfolio of secured projects, ensuring successful delivery from inception through to completion. You will work closely with senior client stakeholders, consultants, design teams and contractors, driving performance across cost, programme, risk and quality objectives.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading the delivery of complex infrastructure and capital projects.
  • Managing project managers and multidisciplinary delivery teams.
  • Building and maintaining strong client-side stakeholder relationships.
  • Managing programme budgets, forecasting and change control.
  • Leading risk management and governance processes.
  • Overseeing consultant and contractor performance.
  • Providing strategic reporting and programme updates to senior stakeholders.
  • Supporting procurement, contract management and programme assurance activities.

About You:

We are keen to speak with experienced Project Directors, Programme Directors, Associate Directors or Senior Project Managers who have delivered major capital programmes within highly regulated environments. You’ll ideally have experience in one or more of the following sectors:

  • Life Sciences
  • Pharmaceuticals
  • Research & Development Facilities
  • Laboratories
  • Healthcare
  • Infrastructure
  • Defence
  • Nuclear
  • Government Infrastructure
  • Secure or Mission-Critical Environments

You will also demonstrate:

  • Proven experience delivering complex infrastructure and new-build projects.
  • Strong client-side stakeholder management capability.
  • Experience working within a 2-stage Design & Build environment.
  • Excellent commercial, financial and programme management skills.
  • Experience leading multidisciplinary consultant and contractor teams.
  • Knowledge of NEC and/or other major construction contracts.
  • Professional qualifications such as MRICS, MCIOB, MAPM, MICE or equivalent.
