West Sussex - QSW - Mental Health - Horsham

In this challenging yet rewarding role, you will act as the allocated social worker responsible for delivering statutory social work services to individuals accessing specialist mental health services. This includes:

Assessment, planning, implementation, and review of care plans.

Leading on specialist areas such as perinatal, early intervention, transitions, and homelessness.

Providing guidance, implementing changes, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality service delivery.

Working Arrangements:

Hybrid Role: 3 days in the office, with the remainder remote.

Full-time position based in Horsham, but the team supports countywide services.

Key Skills and Responsibilities:

Analyze and interpret complex data to prioritize needs and formulate care plans.

Undertake direct work with service users and their carers to provide robust support.

Collaborate with external agencies and multidisciplinary teams.

Stay informed on legislation, best practices, and service developments.

Recognize limits of accountability and seek support when needed.

Are you an experienced and motivated Qualified Social Worker seeking a rewarding role in mental health? West Sussex County Council is looking for a dedicated professional to join their dynamic team., Qualifications: Degree in Social Work or equivalent, with registration to Social Work England.

Experience: Minimum of 2 years’ experience in mental health social work with severe and enduring conditions.

Special Skills: AMHP qualification (or commitment to complete within 2 years), knowledge of the Mental Health Act and Mental Capacity Act.

Other: Valid driving license, strong IT skills, and ability to manage complex safeguarding cases.

Competitive pay rate, capped per Memorandum of Cooperation (MoC).

Additional £150/week expenses for candidates residing outside West Sussex.
