Our client, a large local authority, have an immediate need for a Technical Manager, a temporary role for an initial 3 month period but we expect this to be extended.
Location: Warwickshire
Rate: £(phone number removed) per day.
Length: 3 months, but expected to be extended.
The role: To manage a team of technical and surveying staff to provide a comprehensive property management service for the housing stock and transitional support service for all aspects of the clients varied asset portfolio ensuring that:
- Agreed programmes of works for cyclical maintenance, component replacements, improvements and repair contracts are delivered efficiently, effectively and economically.
- The Regulatory works programmes for HHSRS and Decent Homes, and legal disrepair claims are effectively managed.
- Technical advice is provided to internal and external clients.
- Contracts are procured and managed effectively.
- Transitional support is provided with projects on the commercial property portfolio.
- Effective relationships with building managers and project officers are built and working arrangements maintained with all clients to ensure that quality technical and asset management services are provided in a professional, customer focused manner.
Essential:
- Educated to degree level in Building Surveying or equivalent relevant subject (Architecture, Quantity Surveying) with significant (at least 6 years) post qualification experience and/or qualified membership of either the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) the Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB) or any other equivalent professional membership.
- NEBOSH qualification or equivalent.
- High level of experience of contributing towards formulation, implementation and delivery of investment programmes.
- High level of experience in delivering and managing multi-disciplinary housing and commercial contracted programmes.
- Sound technical knowledge of Fire Safety, Asbestos, Building Services including Gas, Mechanical & Electrical services.
