This is a standout opportunity for someone passionate about smart technology and the future of the built environment to work across a diverse and impressive project portfolio.
You'll be joining a specialist Digital Buildings team, contributing to projects across Commercial, Residential, Hotels, Retail, Industrial facilities, Laboratories, and Data Centres. The role offers real influence - from early-stage concept development through to detailed design - and the chance to act as a trusted technical advisor to clients.
The Role:
In this position, you'll be responsible for translating client needs into smart, practical digital building solutions. You'll collaborate closely with internal disciplines and external stakeholders to deliver integrated, future-ready outcomes.
Key responsibilities include:
- Engaging with clients and stakeholders to understand challenges, opportunities, and desired outcomes
- Developing smart building, controls, and BMS design and engineering solutions of varying complexity
- Coordinating digital building designs with other building services disciplines and third parties
- Preparing high-quality technical reports, specifications, and presentations for both technical and non-technical audiences
- Acting as a subject matter expert and trusted advisor across BMS and smart building solutions
- Facilitating "blue-sky" and aspirational workshops with clients and key stakeholders
- Supporting marketing initiatives and business development activities where required
- Maintaining quality standards across projects and actively participating in ongoing professional development
About You:
This role would suit an engineer who enjoys both the technical and consultative sides of smart buildings. You'll ideally bring:
- A relevant tertiary qualification in Engineering (or equivalent training and accreditation)
- 3+ years' experience in BMS, controls engineering, or smart buildings
- Proven experience in building controls design, system integration, and specification writing
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor messages to different audiences
- Solid knowledge of BMS platforms and confidence using tools such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio
Why Consider This Opportunity?
- Be at the forefront of digital and smart building innovation
- Work within a collaborative, forward-thinking consultancy where ideas are encouraged and valued
- Exposure to complex, high-profile projects across multiple sectors
- Ongoing professional development and genuine career progression pathways
- A supportive team culture built on collaboration, respect, and wellbeing
