Procurement Commercial Manager (Defence) 12-Month Fixed Term Contract | UK Wide | SC Clearance Eligible Join a leading global consultancy delivering some of the UKs most critical Defence programmes. We are seeking experienced Procurement Commercial Managers to support major Defence and national infrastructure projects across the UK. This is an opportunity to play a key role in the delivery of complex procurement and commercial strategies, working on high-profile programmes that contribute directly to national security. Working within a large and established Defence team, you will lead pre-contract procurement activities, commercial strategy development, tendering processes, contract formation and stakeholder engagement across a diverse portfolio of projects. Key Responsibilities Develop and implement procurement and commercial strategies. Prepare business cases, tender documentation and contract packages. Manage end-to-end tender processes, including evaluation and supplier selection. Support contract negotiations and formal contract execution. Deliver commercial activities throughout the MOD commercial lifecycle. Build and maintain relationships with senior client and stakeholder groups. Support the development of commercial governance procedures and processes. Lead commercial workstreams within multi-disciplinary project teams. Contribute to a positive, inclusive and collaborative project environment. About You Youll ideally have: Experience delivering procurement and commercial activities within large projects or programmes. Strong knowledge of tendering, procurement strategy development and contract formation. Understanding of public sector procurement regulations and commercial governance. Experience producing tender and contract documentation. Knowledge of e-sourcing and e-evaluation systems. Strong commercial awareness and financial acumen. Experience managing senior stakeholder relationships. Professional membership, or working towards membership, of CIPS, CCM or equivalent. Defence, Government or wider public sector experience would be advantageous. Eligibility to obtain SC Clearance. Flexibility to travel across the UK when required.
