About the Role
As an Intermediate Mechanical Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the design, delivery, and project management of mechanical systems. You will collaborate with a dynamic and supportive team, working on diverse projects across sectors including commercial, residential, education, healthcare, and more. Your responsibilities will span from design conception through to implementation, with a focus on delivering innovative and sustainable engineering solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design & Development: Produce detailed mechanical designs and specifications for building services projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Project Management: Assist in the management of projects, including liaising with clients, contractors, and other project stakeholders.
- Technical Support: Provide technical expertise and support throughout the design and construction phases of the project life cycle.
- Sustainability Focus: Ensure designs incorporate energy-efficient and sustainable solutions in line with industry best practices and client requirements.
- Collaboration & Coordination: Work closely with other engineering disciplines (Electrical, Structural, etc.) to ensure the integration of all systems within the built environment.
- Site Inspections: Conduct site surveys and inspections to ensure that the mechanical systems are installed to the required specifications.
- Mentorship: Support junior engineers in their development and assist with technical reviews and guidance.
Key Requirements:
- A degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent)
- 2-5 years of experience working in building services and mechanical design
- Proficient in relevant design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, and other mechanical design tools)
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems such as HVAC, heating, cooling, ventilation, and plumbing
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, deadlines, and projects simultaneously
