Rare opportunity to work both remote and part-time, to suit your own work-life balance, with a friendly BIM Consultancy that focuses on the UK architectural sector. You will work as an outsourced BIM Manager, providing valuable support to various architectural practices. The primary focus of this position is on utilizing Revit software for architecture projects, employing company templates and assets, and championing best practices in BIM.

In addition to having an architectural background and extensive expertise in working with BIM and Revit, a successful candidate will need a high degree of initiative and strong interpersonal skills allowing them to support individuals with different levels of expertise and enthusiasm. You will in turn have the chance to work largely autonomously with your own clients, fixing your workload to dovetail with your other life commitments. This work is eligible to be delivered by a Limited Company if you have one.

Responsibilities:

  • Outsourced BIM Management: Act as a BIM Manager for external architectural practices, offering guidance and support in the use of Revit software, following in-house templates and assets.
  • Promoting Best Practices: Advocate for and implement best practices in BIM processes, ensuring efficiency and high-quality project outcomes.
  • Clash Detection: Perform Clash Detection using Navisworks when necessary, addressing and resolving clashes to enhance project coordination. This is rare but is a nice to have.

Essential:

  • Proficiency in Revit software and BIM processes.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrate strong attention to detail and self-checking work.
  • Familiarity with ISO 19650 guidance.
  • Degree in Architecture, architect or technician qualification.
  • UK-based.

Required Technical Skills:

  • Strong familiarity with UK construction practices and regulations.
  • Clash Detection using Navisworks.
  • Knowledge of COBie and IFC standards.
