Lead Engineer (Project Delivery)

Eden Brown Synergy is currently working in partnership with a public sector organization in London, seeking a Lead Engineer (Project Delivery) to join their team, and play a vital role in shaping the infrastructure of the organization. The contract is initially for 4 months., * Lead the delivery of high-profile projects, including Section 106, Section 278, and private works programs.

• Manage and monitor capital program budgets ranging between £1-5 million annually.

• Oversee contractor performance, assess claims, and ensure compliance with legislation such as the Highways Act and Traffic Management Act.

• Engage with stakeholders, including cabinet members, councillors, and the public, to ensure effective communication and consultation.

• Ensure projects support climate change and biodiversity goals.

• Provide leadership to a dedicated team of engineers and ensure high standards in project delivery.

• A strong background in the transport and highways industry, including project management experience.

• Technical expertise in delivering highways and traffic projects, backed by an engineering qualification.

• Excellent communication skills for engaging diverse stakeholders and presenting to senior management.

• A proven track record in financial management for large-scale projects.

• Knowledge of relevant legislation and codes of practice.
