We are working with a well-established drylining specialist contractor with a long-standing presence across London and the South East, delivering high-value packages on major commercial, residential and mixed-use projects. Due to continued growth and a strong forward order book, they are seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to strengthen their commercial team.
The Role
You will take senior-level commercial responsibility for multiple drylining packages and/or projects, acting as a key link between site teams, clients and senior management. Key responsibilities include:
- Full commercial leadership of drylining packages from pre-contract through to final account
- Managing and negotiating subcontractor procurement, valuations, variations and final accounts
- Providing accurate cost reporting, forecasting and risk management
- Working closely with project teams to protect margin and drive commercial performance
- Acting as a commercial lead in client meetings and negotiations
- Mentoring and supporting junior QSs and Assistant QSs
Requirements
- 8 years' Quantity Surveying experience, with strong longevity and progression within specialist or contractor-led businesses
- Proven background within drylining / interiors / specialist subcontracting
- Strong contractual knowledge (JCT experience essential)
- Confident managing large-value packages and complex variations
- Commercially astute, proactive and comfortable operating at senior level
