Suffolk County Council is currently recruiting experienced Senior Qualified Social Workers (QSWs) to join their Child Protection (CP) / Child in Need (CIN) teams across multiple localities. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a supportive Local Authority offering flexible working arrangements and a choice of teams with varying caseload levels.
Available Teams & Caseloads:
- Coastal North Social Care Team - Average caseload: 25
- Ipswich Locality Team - Average caseload: 25-30
- Forest Heath Social Care Team - Average caseload: 30
- Haverhill Social Care Team - Average caseload: 30
- Stowmarket Team - Average caseload: 40
Key Responsibilities:
- Completing Child & Family Assessments
- Managing Child in Need (CIN) plans and reviews
- Chairing and attending CIN meetings
- Undertaking Child Protection work
- Writing Section 7 reports
- Working closely with multi-agency professionals
- Ensuring accurate and timely case recording
Working Pattern:
- 3 days per week in the office
- Hybrid working model
- Condensed hours over 4 days considered
Essential Requirements:
- Qualified Social Worker with 3+ years PQE in UK Local Authorities
- Social Work England registration
