Electrical Design Engineer – Building Services Location: Camden, London Salary: Up to £50,000 My client is an award-winning building services engineering practice known for sustainable, elegantly integrated design. We\’re seeking an enthusiastic and capable Intermediate Electrical Design Engineer to join their growing team. About the Role As an Intermediate Electrical Design Engineer, you\’ll play a key role in the design and delivery of building services on a wide variety of innovative and inspiring projects. These include new builds and refurbishments across the residential, commercial, heritage, gallery, and cultural sectors. You will collaborate closely with architects, clients, and other engineers to develop inventive, robust, and energy-efficient electrical systems from concept to completion. What You\’ll Be Doing * Developing electrical building services designs (lighting, power, data, fire alarms, etc.) * Producing calculations, drawings, and specifications using industry-standard tools * Coordinating designs with internal and external teams, including other disciplines * Attending design meetings and site inspections * Taking ownership of your own projects with support from senior engineers * Contributing to the practice\’s commitment to low-carbon and sustainable design What My Client is Looking For * A degree (or equivalent experience) in Electrical Engineering or Building Services * Minimum 2-4 years of experience in building services consultancy or a similar role * Solid understanding of UK building regulations and relevant design standards * Proficient in design software such as Amtech, Dialux/Relux, and AutoCAD/Revit * A proactive attitude and excellent communication skills * Passion for well-designed, sustainable buildings What They Offer * Competitive salary up to £50,000 * Flexible working environment * Generous holiday and benefits package * Career development through mentoring and CPD * A collaborative, inclusive working culture with a strong design ethos.
