A growing sustainability consultancy is looking for a Senior Consultant to join its Energy & Sustainability team, supporting clients to deliver high-performance, low-energy buildings across a wide range of sectors.

This role is ideal for a mechanical engineer with strong building physics expertise who is looking to take greater ownership of projects and develop their technical and client-facing skills.

The Role

  • Lead the delivery of building performance and operational energy work across multiple projects, including:
  • Dynamic thermal modelling and operational energy analysis using IES-VE
  • Detailed HVAC modelling and energy strategy development
  • Overheating and thermal comfort assessments (TM52 / TM59 / Part O)
  • Advising design teams on energy efficiency and building performance from early concept through to completion
  • Managing projects and liaising directly with clients and multidisciplinary design teams
  • Supporting and mentoring junior team members

About You

  • 4-7 years' experience in building physics / energy modelling
  • Background in Mechanical Engineering with a strong understanding of MEP systems
  • Proven experience delivering IES-VE modelling
  • Confident managing projects and communicating with clients and design teams
  • Experience with Passivhaus or NABERS/DfP modelling is highly desirable but not essential
