We are seeking a commercially driven Pre-Construction Manager to join a specialist Small Works division delivering fast-paced D&B fit-out and refurbishment projects.

Projects typically range from £50k-£500k, requiring someone confident working across multiple schemes simultaneously in a high-volume environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Take ownership of the full pre-construction process from enquiry through to project handover.
  • Price projects from scratch, building costs using subcontractor and supplier input.
  • Develop cost plans, programmes and tender submissions.
  • Work closely with internal design and technical teams to ensure buildability.
  • Engage with subcontractors to secure competitive rates and manage the supply chain.
  • Carry out value engineering and commercial reviews.
  • Present proposals, costs and programmes to clients and stakeholders.
  • Manage multiple small works projects simultaneously.
  • Support smooth handover to delivery teams.
Project Exposure
  • Commercial office fit-out (CAT A / CAT B)

Experience Required
  • Background in fit-out / refurbishment / interiors (essential)
  • Estimating / pre-construction / commercial roles
  • Ability to cost projects independently from first principles
  • Experience working with subcontractors, suppliers and design teams
  • Understanding of programmes, scheduling and delivery
