A leading global engineering and sustainability consultancy is looking for a commercially driven Director of Sustainability to lead the next phase of growth across the UK.
This is a strategic, outward-facing role focused on winning work, building client relationships and expanding the sustainability offering into new and emerging sectors.
The Role
You will be responsible for driving market growth and strengthening the business's presence with new and existing clients.
Key responsibilities include:
- Proactively identifying, pursuing and winning new work, with a focus on new client acquisition.
- Building and maintaining a strong pipeline of opportunities and long-term client relationships.
- Developing and executing sector growth strategies and routes to market.
- Leading bids, proposals and client presentations to secure first-time wins.
- Acting as a senior industry figure, raising profile through networking, thought leadership and events.
- Working with regional and technical leaders to align business development activity and support wider work-winning capability.
About You
- Currently operating at Director / Associate Director level within the built environment.
- Proven track record of winning work and growing client accounts.
- Strong industry network and credibility in the market.
- Commercially focused, with the ability to build pipelines and convert opportunities.
- Broad understanding of sustainability, net zero, carbon and ESG within the built environment. Technical expertise is beneficial, but this role is primarily focused on growth, market development and client leadership.
