Are you an experienced Commercial Manager looking to join a growing, design-led fit-out specialist? We are partnering with an established interiors contractor delivering a mix of commercial office and laboratory refurbishment projects across the Oxford-Reading region, with additional work in Cambridge.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in a client-facing, fast-paced environment, with strong commercial oversight across multiple projects.
The Role
As the Commercial Manager, you will take full commercial responsibility for multiple fit-out projects, ensuring profitability, compliance, and best-in-class commercial governance across the business. You will work closely with the senior leadership team, project managers, and clients to deliver high-quality interiors schemes.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee commercial performance across several live projects
- Manage cost plans, valuations, variations, and final accounts
- Ensure accurate forecasting, budgeting, and financial reporting
- Work closely with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors
- Support tendering, procurement, and contract negotiation
- Drive commercial strategy and contribute to business growth
- Ensure compliance with company and industry standards
Experience Required
- Proven experience as a Commercial Manager, Senior QS, or Commercial Lead
- Background in laboratory fit-out strongly preferred - high-spec office fit-out experience also considered
- Excellent commercial, contractual, and financial understanding
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Confident communicator with strong client-facing skills
- Experience working in the Oxford/Reading region beneficial
