Hertfordshire County Council is looking for an experienced Child Protection Chair to join their service on a hybrid working basis, supporting children and families through high-quality safeguarding practice within the Family Safeguarding model.

About the Role:
You will chair multi-agency Child Protection Conferences in line with national guidance and local procedures, making informed threshold decisions for Child Protection plans and ensuring children and families receive timely, effective support.
You will be responsible for:
- Chairing Child Protection Conferences and complex multi-agency meetings
- Making evidence-based threshold decisions for Child Protection
- Developing SMART Child Protection plans focused on harm reduction
- Completing quality assurance checks, audits, and case file reviews
- Providing specialist consultation to social workers and managers
- Supporting CIN planning
