Warwickshire County Council is seeking an experienced Senior Social Worker to join their Duty & Assessment Team on a temporary basis.

Offering up to £38 per hour Umbrella - one of the highest pay rates currently available across West Midlands local authorities.

The Role

This is a fast-paced Duty & Assessment position focusing on short-term intervention, where you will:

  • Complete timely 10-day Child & Family Assessments
  • Progress children's plans from referral through assessment
  • Take cases through to:
    • Closure
    • First Child in Need Plan
    • Initial Child Protection Conference
  • All About Me Review for Children in Care
  • Work alongside partner agencies to ensure safe and effective outcomes for children and families.

Requirements

  • Social Work England registration
  • Previous Duty & Assessment experience within a UK Local Authority
  • Strong assessment and risk management skills
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
