Eden Brown is seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable History Lecturer to deliver engaging taster courses to prospective students at our further education college. This is a fantastic opportunity to inspire learners and share your passion for history in a dynamic and supportive environment. The role is full-time on a temporary basis from 1st June until the end of term.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver taster sessions that showcase the breadth and excitement of history.
  • Engage students through innovative teaching methods and interactive activities.
  • Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure courses are well-coordinated and effective.

Essential Requirements

  • Relevant teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, CertEd) or equivalent experience.
  • Strong subject knowledge in history.
  • Experience teaching or presenting to groups, ideally in a further education setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate learners of diverse backgrounds.
  • A DBS is also needed for this role.
