Contract: 6-Month Agency Assignment

Hours: Hybrid - 2-3 days office, 2 days WFH

Rate: £35 per hour (umbrella)

About the Role:

Suffolk County Council is seeking a skilled Occupational Therapist to support learning disabilities, autism, and mental health services. This 6-month assignment will focus on proactive assessments and reviews, helping to reduce waiting lists and ensure high-quality care across the directorate.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver safe and timely front-line OT services within the directorate
  • Support triage and reduce duplication between health and social care to reduce OT waiting lists
  • Assist external care providers with safe moving and handling tasks
  • Review care packages to ensure best value and optimal use of equipment
  • Conduct assessments of double-handed care packages, waking nights, and other care plans
  • Provide mutual aid to other OT areas as required

Essential Requirements:

  • Registered Occupational Therapist
  • Experience in learning disabilities, autism, or mental health
  • Manual handling experience
  • Social care background
