Contract: Locum We are currently recruiting for an experienced Fostering Social Worker to join a dedicated fostering team within a progressive local authority in Suffolk.
This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in supporting foster carers and ensuring positive outcomes for children and young people in care.
The service is committed to delivering high-quality support, stability, and permanence for children through effective fostering placements.
Key Responsibilities Undertake assessments of prospective foster carers, including Form F assessments.
Provide ongoing supervision, support, and annual reviews for approved foster carers.
Ensure foster carers are fully equipped to meet the needs of children and young people in placement.
Work collaboratively with children's social workers, virtual schools, and partner agencies.
Participate in fostering panel processes and contribute to decision-making.
Support placement stability and promote positive outcomes for looked after children.
Maintain accurate, up-to-date case records and reports in line with statutory requirements.
Safeguard children and ensure all practice is compliant with fostering regulations and national standards.
