Hours: Hybrid - 2-3 days office, 2 days WFH

About the Role:
Suffolk County Council is seeking a skilled Occupational Therapist to support learning disabilities, autism, and mental health services. This 6-month assignment will focus on proactive assessments and reviews, helping to reduce waiting lists and ensure high-quality care across the directorate.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver safe and timely front-line OT services within the directorate
- Support triage and reduce duplication between health and social care to reduce OT waiting lists
- Assist external care providers with safe moving and handling tasks
- Review care packages to ensure best value and optimal use of equipment
- Conduct assessments of double-handed care packages, waking nights, and other care plans
- Provide mutual aid to other OT areas as required
Essential Requirements:
- Registered Occupational Therapist
- Experience in learning disabilities, autism, or mental health
- Manual handling experience
- Social care background
