A leading private hospital in Leeds is seeking Registered Mental Health Nurses (RMN) or Registered Learning Disability Nurses (RNLD) to join its nursing team.

The hospital provides high-dependency recovery and rehabilitation care for adult males with a range of mental health conditions. As the hospital expands to include two bespoke new therapeutic areas, this is an excellent opportunity to join a dynamic and growing service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, person-centred care to patients
  • Act as named nurse, collaborating with patients and families on care plans
  • Monitor, review and evaluate patient progress and care plans
  • Accurately observe and engage with patients, responding to their needs
  • Lead and delegate nursing duties on shift, acting as nurse in charge when required
  • Maintain a safe and therapeutic care environment
  • Promote positive relationships with patients, families and the MDT
  • Support newly qualified staff as a preceptor
  • Ensure compliance with safeguarding, Mental Health Act and Deprivation of Liberty Standards
  • Adhere to medicines management and clinical governance procedures
  • Participate in clinical supervision and reflective practice

Requirements:

  • Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) or Registered Learning Disability Nurse (RNLD)
  • Experience working within a mental health or LD inpatient setting desirable
  • Strong teamworking and communication skills
  • Professional, compassionate and adaptable approach
  • Commitment to personal development and professional revalidation
