A leading private hospital in Leeds is seeking Registered Mental Health Nurses (RMN) or Registered Learning Disability Nurses (RNLD) to join its nursing team.
The hospital provides high-dependency recovery and rehabilitation care for adult males with a range of mental health conditions. As the hospital expands to include two bespoke new therapeutic areas, this is an excellent opportunity to join a dynamic and growing service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality, person-centred care to patients
- Act as named nurse, collaborating with patients and families on care plans
- Monitor, review and evaluate patient progress and care plans
- Accurately observe and engage with patients, responding to their needs
- Lead and delegate nursing duties on shift, acting as nurse in charge when required
- Maintain a safe and therapeutic care environment
- Promote positive relationships with patients, families and the MDT
- Support newly qualified staff as a preceptor
- Ensure compliance with safeguarding, Mental Health Act and Deprivation of Liberty Standards
- Adhere to medicines management and clinical governance procedures
- Participate in clinical supervision and reflective practice
Requirements:
- Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) or Registered Learning Disability Nurse (RNLD)
- Experience working within a mental health or LD inpatient setting desirable
- Strong teamworking and communication skills
- Professional, compassionate and adaptable approach
