Social Worker required for work within the Fostering Team in the South West area. Torbay Fostering team are offering good rates up to £42ph for the right candidates. Long term contracts offered in a well managed supportive team. This job doesn't often come up! Beautiful location on the coast with good transport links. Flexible, hybrid working arrangements. Accommodation Allowance: £150 per week (up to the end of December 2026).

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Social Worker to be part of the Supervising Fostering Team in the South Hams. Experience of working with foster carers as professional colleagues and working in a multi-disciplinary arena is essential.

As a Supervising Social Worker your role will include:

  • Supervising and supporting a caseload of foster carers
  • Supporting foster carers to deliver trauma informed care
  • Supporting foster carers to comply with Fostering regulations and National minimum standards
  • Involvement in the delivery of virtual support groups and face to face support groups
  • Building relationships with foster carers and children in care
  • Working closely with other agencies to promote placement stability and support

You will be Social Work England registered, ideally a driver with access to own car and able to reside and work in the UK.
