An exciting opportunity for a Social Worker to join the Assessment & Intervention Team in the Devon area. You will be based in the coastal town of Torbay. 37 hours a week, 3 month+ contracts on a rate of £42ph in a small well-managed team. Based close to the coast and good infrastructure to A30, A38 & M5. Flexible, hybrid working arrangements. £150 accommodation.
You will work closely with multi-agency partners to carry out child and family assessments, Section 47 enquiries, and initial intervention work - ensuring children are safeguarded and families are supported to achieve positive outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Undertake statutory assessments and Section 47 investigations
- Develop SMART plans based on clear analysis of risk and need
- Work collaboratively with families, schools, health professionals, police and other agencies
- Manage a varied caseload with support from experienced managers and practitioners
- Make informed decisions to support early intervention or progression to longer-term support services
You will be Social Work England registered, ideally a driver with access to your own car and able to reside and work in the UK.
