Suffolk County Council is seeking an experienced Senior Social Worker to join their Children and Young People's Services - CCWDS team.
Position: Senior Social Worker - CYPS CCWDS
Hours: 37 per week
Location: North Suffolk Office bases (including Lowestoft and Saxmundham)
Flexible Working: Supported, with a minimum of 2 days office-based
Pay: £39 per hour via Umbrella
Role Overview: This role involves working with children and families across a range of statutory duties, including:
- Conducting assessments of need under Section 17 Children Act and developing/reviewing Child in Need (CIN) plans
- Working closely with health and education colleagues, including under the CHC framework and Statutory SEND
- Undertaking Section 47 enquiries and progressing to Child Protection as needed
- Potential involvement in Public Law Outline (PLO), Private Law Section 7, and Section 37 cases
- Supporting children who are Children in Care (CIC), including those living in residential settings
- Assisting children with transitions to ASC

Essential Requirements:
- Social Work Qualification - Degree or equivalent
- Minimum of 3 years' experience as a social worker within children's services
- Registered with Social Work England
- Driving licence and access to own vehicle
