Are you an experienced Senior Social Worker / Senior Practitioner looking for your next locum opportunity within a supportive Children's Safeguarding service? We are currently recruiting for a Senior Practitioner to join the Children's Safeguarding Team in North Hertfordshire, offering an excellent opportunity for an experienced children's social worker to make a real difference to children, young people and families.

This role would suit a confident practitioner who is passionate about safeguarding, enjoys working with complexity, and has the experience to support high-quality practice within a busy front-line service.

The Role:

  • Manage a complex caseload of children and families requiring safeguarding intervention
  • Undertake Child Protection, Child in Need and safeguarding assessments
  • Complete effective planning and direct work with children, young people and families
  • Work collaboratively with partner agencies to achieve positive outcomes
  • Support colleagues through advice, guidance and reflective practice
  • Contribute to improving outcomes for vulnerable children and young people

Essential Requirements:

  • Social Work England (SWE) registration
  • Minimum 3 years' post-qualifying experience in a permanent local authority children's social work role
  • Strong safeguarding, child protection and assessment experience
  • Senior Practitioner / advanced practice experience desirable
  • Must hold a full driving licence and have access to a vehicle due to the nature of the role
