Role: Study Centre Supervisor

Working hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 4:00pm
Eden Brown are seeking a reliable, organised and student-focused Study Centre Supervisor to join a successful sixth form in Manchester on a temporary, full-time basis.
The Role
You will supervise students in the library and study centre, ensuring that it remains a quiet, safe and positive environment for learning.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supervising students during independent study and ensuring appropriate standards of behaviour are maintained
- Providing a welcoming and supportive presence for students using the library
- Ensuring students follow study centre and library procedures
- Monitoring attendance and student use of the study centre where required
- Supporting students with basic queries and directing them to appropriate staff or resources
- Maintaining a calm, orderly and focused study environment
- Helping to maintain the organisation and presentation of the library and study resources
- Reporting any concerns regarding student behaviour, welfare or safeguarding to the appropriate member of staff
- Working closely with teaching and support staff to promote positive student engagement
About You
We are looking for someone who is:
- Confident and approachable, with the ability to build positive relationships with young people
- Calm, patient and able to manage a busy study environment
- Well organised and reliable, with good attention to detail
- Able to maintain appropriate boundaries while providing a supportive presence for students
- Confident in promoting good behaviour and dealing with minor issues professionally
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a wider sixth-form team
- Committed to supporting young people to achieve their academic potential
- Previous experience working in a school, sixth form, college, library, youth setting or other student-facing environment would be advantageous.
A DBS on the update service is also needed for this role.
