Revenues Officer - Council Tax / Revenues Experienced in Council Tax and Revenues administration, with strong working knowledge of Council Tax legislation, billing, collection and recovery procedures. Proficient in using the Civica Revenues system to maintain accounts, process changes and ensure accurate and timely billing. Skilled in processing changes of address, liability changes, discounts, exemptions, disregards and reductions, including Single Person Discount and other applicable Council Tax exemptions and discounts. Experienced in reviewing account histories, correcting discrepancies, processing refunds and credit transfers, and issuing amended bills. Confident in managing Council Tax recovery, including reminders, final notices, summonses and liability orders, as well as progressing appropriate post-liability order recovery action. Experienced in negotiating payment arrangements and dealing with customers experiencing payment difficulties in accordance with council procedures. Able to investigate complex and historic Council Tax accounts, establish correct liability, resolve debit and credit balances and respond effectively to customer enquiries and correspondence. Strong Civica system experience, with the ability to interrogate accounts, review billing and recovery histories, update records and accurately document decisions. Capable of managing a high-volume caseload independently while meeting productivity, quality and collection targets and delivering a professional, customer-focused Revenues service.
