Eden Brown Synergy are currently looking for an experienced and motivated Qualified Social Worker (QSW) to join the Assessment Team in Huntingdon with Cambridgeshire County Council.
Location: New Shire Hall, Huntingdon, PE28 4YE
Pay Rate: £39 per hour
About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Qualified Social Worker (QSW) to join the Assessment Team in Huntingdon. This is a fast-paced and rewarding role where you will play a key part in safeguarding children and supporting families at the point of referral and assessment. Working within statutory frameworks, you will complete timely and high-quality assessments to ensure children receive the right support and protection when they need it most.
Key Responsibilities
- Undertake Section 17 and Section 47 enquiries.
- Complete Child & Family Assessments within statutory timescales.
- Carry out home visits and direct work with children and families.
- Work collaboratively with partner agencies to ensure effective safeguarding outcomes.
- Prepare clear, analytical reports and attend court where required.
- Manage a varied caseload in line with legislation and local procedures.
Requirements
- Qualified Social Worker with current Social Work England registration.
- Experience within a Children's Assessment or Duty Team.
- Strong safeguarding knowledge and assessment skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a busy, fast-paced environment.
- Excellent report writing and analytical skills.

Essential Requirements:
- Social Work Qualification - Degree or equivalent
- At least 3 years' experience as a social worker within children's services
