Programme Leader – Apprenticeships (Interim Role) Location: Lancashire Rate: £350-£450 per day Contract Type: Full-time, Temporary We are currently recruiting on behalf of a leading training and education provider in Lancashire who are seeking an experienced Programme Leader to take on an interim assignment leading their apprenticeship provision. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled professional to step into a key leadership role, driving the quality, compliance, and performance of apprenticeship programmes across multiple sectors. Role Overview: As the Interim Programme Leader for Apprenticeships, you will be responsible for the effective delivery and quality assurance of a broad portfolio of apprenticeship programmes. You will provide strategic and operational leadership, working closely with curriculum teams, employers, and quality managers to ensure provision is Ofsted-ready and meets all funding and regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities: * Lead the day-to-day delivery and performance of apprenticeship programmes, ensuring high standards in teaching, learning, and learner outcomes. * Oversee compliance with ESFA funding regulations and Ofsted\’s Education Inspection Framework (EIF). * Support curriculum teams and tutors to maintain high-quality delivery and effective learner progress tracking. * Act as the primary contact for employer partners, supporting ongoing collaboration and apprenticeship pipeline development. * Drive quality improvement actions, support preparation for inspections or audits, and contribute to self-assessment reporting * Provide leadership and coaching to delivery staff to raise standards and ensure targets are met or exceeded. About You: * Proven track record of leading apprenticeship programmes within a further education or work-based learning environment. * Strong understanding of apprenticeship standards, ESFA compliance, and Ofsted expectations. * Confident in managing teams, implementing quality improvement plans, and working at pace to meet targets. * Teaching and/or assessing qualifications (e.g. PGCE, A1, TAQA) preferred but not essential. * Available to start at short notice and commit to a full-time interim role for 3-6 months.
