Here at Eden Brown Charities, we are delighted to be working in partnership with a much-loved Charity to recruit a Philanthropy Manager. Over the last five years, the Charity has increased their income significantly, mainly due to expanding their high-net-worth relationships and securing influential advocates. The Charity has ambitious plans to grow income even further.
About the role
You will be joining a friendly and fast-paced fundraising team. Your responsibilities will include:
- Cultivating and managing an existing portfolio of high-net-worth individuals, charitable trusts, and foundations.
- Expanding the pipeline of high-net-worth individuals and charitable trusts by identifying and unlocking networks across our charity, hospitals, supporters, and funder communities.
- Soliciting five and six-figure gifts from high-net-worth individuals and charitable trusts, both verbally and through compelling funding proposals.
- Supporting the Head of Strategic Projects to identify and develop high-value (six-figure plus) charitable trust and foundation opportunities and bids aligned with the charity's ambitions.
About you
To succeed in this role, you must have:
- Proven experience of securing five and six-figure gifts from major donors and/or charitable trusts and foundations, from first approach to solicitation and stewardship.
- Experience fundraising within complex organisations such as the NHS, Higher Education, or larger charities.
- Proven experience managing and developing high-value funder relationships.
- Experience of identifying opportunities, matching donor interests with hospital priorities, and developing inspiring asks and proposals.
