An exciting opportunity has arisen to work for Nottinghamshire County Council. This is a temporary Social Worker role within the District Child Protection Team. In this role you will benefit from an hourly rate of £38 per hour umbrella, whilst having the opportunity to work in a professional and vibrant environment. Working within the DCP Team includes but is not limited to: * Undertaking Initial Assessments under Section 17 of the Children’s Act of 1989 * Undertaking Core Assessments and Child Protection Enquiries under Section 47 of the Children’s Act of 1989 * Undertaking assessments using the Common Assessment Framework * Undertaking Age Assessments * Providing Section 17 support to families and children in need * Carrying out home visits for monitoring purposes/ to promote the welfare of and to safeguard the children * Liaising/ Working close with partnership agencies to support the families and meet the children/ young peoples needs * Producing Initial Child Protection Conference reports * Convening and chairing Core Group Meetings * Initiating and implementing Child Protection Plans * Applying for and obtaining Emergency Protection Orders * Preparing and presenting case conference reports For this position you will need hold a recognised social work qualification and be SWE registered, as well as have at least 3 years post qualifying experience.
