Eden Brown Synergy are currently looking for an experienced and motivated Qualified Social Worker (QSW) to join our Children in Care (CIC) Team with Nottingham City Council.
Location: Loxley House, Nottingham NG2 3NG
Pay Rate: £35 PH
About the Role: As part of our CIC team, you'll be responsible for providing essential support to children and young people in care, ensuring their safety and wellbeing through effective assessments and care planning. Your ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and build strong, positive relationships will be key to the role's success.
As a QSW within the Children in Care team, you will work directly with children, families, and professionals to ensure the safety and wellbeing of children in care. Your role will involve assessing, planning, and providing ongoing support for children and families in a fast-paced and rewarding environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct high-quality assessments and develop care plans that support the wellbeing of children in care.
- Build strong relationships with children, parents, carers, and other responsible adults.
- Attend and contribute to Looked After Children (LAC) reviews, permanency planning, and long-term fostering cases.
- Provide support and advice on Special Guardianship Orders (SGOs) and other permanency options.
- Manage complex cases, including court-related work and placement with parent assessments.
- Ensure that you meet deadlines and work consistently to a high standard.
- Experience in a Children in Care (CIC) team or similar child protection/children's services setting.
- Proven ability to produce high-quality assessment work that meets statutory and regulatory standards.
- Strong reliability in meeting deadlines and managing workloads efficiently.
- Excellent relationship-building skills with children, families, and other professionals.
- Post-qualification social work experience and a strong understanding of the needs of children in care.
- Placement with parent assessments and Looked After Children (LAC) reviews.
- Knowledge of permanency planning, long-term fostering cases, and Special Guardianship Orders (SGOs).
- Court-related work (experience is transferable and will be valued).
- Ability to work effectively in a pressured, fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility to manage cases on a nationwide scale and work within a dynamic team.
