Role Overview
Milton Keynes Council is seeking an experienced Deputy Team Manager - Adult Social Care to support frontline operational delivery within a busy assessment and duty environment. This is a key leadership role responsible for ensuring effective case allocation, workload management, and professional oversight within the team.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervising social workers and social work assistants
- Allocating and prioritising cases effectively
- Managing and monitoring waiting lists
- Attending professionals' meetings and multi-agency discussions
- Holding case discussions and providing practice guidance
- Supporting service delivery within a busy Adult Social Care environment
Candidate Requirements
- Social Work qualification (Degree/DipSW/CQSW)
- SWE registration (or eligible to register)
- Significant experience in Adult Social Care
- Previous supervisory or team management experience
- Strong understanding of assessment, safeguarding, and duty processes
