Eden Brown are seeking a passionate and dedicated Maths Lecturer for a Further Education College in the North East. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching and learning across both GCSE Maths and Functional Skills Maths programmes.
This is a full time permanent role to start on 1st August. This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual who is committed to helping students achieve their full potential and progress in their academic or vocational pathways.
Key Responsibilities:- Plan, deliver, and assess engaging Maths lessons across GCSE and Functional Skills levels.
- Support learners with diverse needs, ensuring inclusive teaching strategies.
- Monitor and track student progress, providing timely feedback and support.
- Contribute to curriculum development and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Maintain accurate records in line with college and awarding body requirements.
- Participate in team meetings, CPD, and quality assurance processes.
- A recognised teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, Cert Ed, or equivalent).
- A relevant degree or subject specialism in Maths.
- Experience teaching GCSE and Functional Skills Maths in a further education or secondary setting.
- Strong classroom management skills and a learner-centred approach.
- Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience working with learners aged 16-19 and/or adult learners.
- Knowledge of current curriculum developments and assessment frameworks.
