Eden Brown is seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable History Lecturer to deliver engaging taster courses to prospective students at our further education college. This is a fantastic opportunity to inspire learners and share your passion for history in a dynamic and supportive environment. The role is full-time on a temporary basis from 1st June until the end of term.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver taster sessions that showcase the breadth and excitement of history.
- Engage students through innovative teaching methods and interactive activities.
- Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure courses are well-coordinated and effective.
Essential Requirements
- Relevant teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, CertEd) or equivalent experience.
- Strong subject knowledge in history.
- Experience teaching or presenting to groups, ideally in a further education setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to inspire and motivate learners of diverse backgrounds.
- A DBS is also needed for this role.
