Eden Brown are working on behalf of a leading sixth-form college in Manchester who are seeking an enthusiastic and committed Biology Lecturer to join its dedicated teaching team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced teacher or lecturer, or an ambitious early-career professional, to make a real difference to students studying Chemistry at post-16 level.

The Role

As a Chemistry Lecturer, you will be responsible for delivering engaging, challenging and supportive lessons across Biology courses, helping students to develop both their subject knowledge and practical scientific skills.

The successful candidate will:

  • Deliver engaging and high-quality Biology lessons.
  • Plan, prepare and assess work in line with the curriculum and assessment requirements.
  • Support and inspire students to achieve their full academic potential.
  • Maintain high standards of teaching, learning and classroom management.
  • Work collaboratively with the Science department to support student success and progression.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), a recognised teaching qualification, or relevant further education teaching qualification.
  • Experience teaching Biology at either BTEC/A Level/T Level.
  • Strong subject knowledge and excellent classroom practice.
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service.
