Job Vacancy: Full-Time Temporary Learning Support Officer
Location: Ashton-under-Lyne
Department: Construction
Hours: 36 hours per week
Hourly Rate: £15 - £20 per hour
Responsibilities
- Provide one-to-one and small group support to students in the Construction Department.
- Assist students with their apprenticeship coursework, practical assignments, and assessments.
- Foster an inclusive and supportive learning environment for all students.
- Help students overcome any learning barriers they may face.
- Work closely with teaching staff to monitor student progress and provide feedback.
- Support students with personal and academic development as required.
Qualifications
- Experience working in an educational setting supporting students with SEN.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with students and staff.
- A proactive and adaptable approach to supporting students' learning.
- Patience, empathy, and the ability to tailor support to individual needs.
- A genuine passion for helping students achieve their academic and career goals.
- A minimum of GCSE (or equivalent) qualifications in Maths and English, or experience in a similar role.
- A DBS is also needed for this role.
